Pamper The Skin Your In...
Airbrush tanning does not protect your skin from UV rays. Always wear a sunscreen. Airbrush tanning is a revolutionary way to get a natural looking sun kissed tan without the UV damage caused by the sun. It is not a dye - the active ingredient is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), an all natural sugar by product and is FDA approved. It is a year-round - and healthier - alternative to baking in the sun or using tanning beds.
Remember friends dont let friends go to tanning beds.
Tanning solution is sprayed on the skin- the DHA then works with the proteins and enzymes in the top layer of the skin to create each individuals own tan. The DHA solution must remain on the skin for a minimum of 6 hours preferably 8 hours, after which it may be showered off. Each persons depth of color will vary - depending on the individuals own skin tone.
The solutions I use are alcohol-free to reduce the drying affects often caused by DHA. Solutions are tinted with a natural, caramel color bronzer, for ease of application and instant gratification for you. The bronzer is very natural looking; you won't be shocked by the dark color guide that is used in many solutions. These solutions will leave you looking naturally sun kissed. Free of any red, yellow or brassy hues, leaving you looking like a beautiful bronzed god or goddess.
The average tan lasts about a week. Each tan will fade differently due to many factors including dryness of skin, after tan skin care, the amount of time spent in water or exercising, and the skin's own rate of exfoliation. A small percentage of people are allergic to the active ingredient, DHA. If you have any indication that you may be allergic to this product or have ever had a reaction to any sunless tanning product, DO NOT receive an airbrush tan without testing a small patch of skin beforehand.

Exfoliate well a few days before if possible,
especially if you are prone to dry skin, and
moisturize well for a week before. DO NOT MOISTURIZE
on the day you come in for your tan.
Wear loose clothing, to wear after your tan- nylons
and other tight clothing or shoes may dislodge the
tanning solution even if you are completely dry when
leaving, sweats, shorts and flip flops work great. If
you wear shorts, it is a good idea to bring an old
towel for you to sit on for the ride home.
Wear you hair back or in a pony tail.
Choose dark clothing, or something old to be tanned
in as solution will stain clothing.
Don't wear makeup, lotions, deodorant or other body
products before your tanning.
Give your tan about 6 to 8 hours before showering,
exercising or otherwise getting wet. After 6 to 8
hours, feel free to shower. Do not be surprised when
you see the color guide of the solution wash down the
drain - it is NOT your tan. Your own natural sun
kissed tan will be underneath.
Moisturize your skin regularly after tanning - avoid
Dove products or products that contain mineral oil as
they may cause early fading.
Pamper the skin your in after you have an airbrushed
tan. After showering, use a gentle patting motion
rather than rubbing your skin dry.
Expect products with glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy
and other "exfoliating" ingredients to also
prematurely fade your tan. these products are made to
exfoliate skin and anything that exfoliates skin will
also take your tan with it.
Don't spend long periods of time in the water while
having an airbrush tan. go in for shorter periods of
time. Water makes your skin soft and will make it
exfoliate quicker, thereby shortening the lenght of
your tan.

 Skin condition:
Some people have dryer skin and flake
a lot, some don't. Oily skin will retain a tan longer
than dry skin.
Exfoliation:
If you did not exfoliate properly, your
tan may start to flake much sooner than it should.
Since the chemical process affects only the top layer
of skin, as your skin sloughs off, your tan can go
with it. Your skin must be smooth and clean to get a
smooth, clean tan. The more you tan, the easier it is
to see the skin you need to exfoliate.
Tight clothing:
Any piece of clothing that generally
chafes the skin will cause the skin and the tan to rub
off with it. This also applies to the foot area and
shoes.
After obtaining your base tan, you can generally get
by with tanning once a week. The less time you expose
your tan and skin to water the longer your tan will
last.
Get in the habit of moisturizing your skin morning and
night between tanning sessions.
Try to shave the night before tanning and not right
before you go for your session.
The time of year will affect your skin, and therefore,
your tan. As your skin changes with the seasons, you
will need to keep dry skin moisturized.
Long hot baths or showers are death to tans (but great
for preparing to exfoliate). The skin soaks and
softens with length of time exposed and speeds up the
exfoliation process.
